Every major step forward in my life so far has been inspired and encouraged by the mentors I’ve been fortunate enough to have. I believe that hopes, dreams, and advice are best shared in ongoing, personal relationships, and it’s important to me to make myself available as a mentor to others.

I’ve had so many great experiences in my life, and I’d love to share them if you’re considering pursuing a similar path.

• I grew up in a household of technology and thus considered a major in computer science, but opted to study film instead because I wanted a balance between technology and art.
• I taught myself web design and development during and after college and pursued it as a career through journalism.
• I worked for two newspapers, The Orlando Sentinel and USA TODAY.
• I worked on the product design and user experience for USA TODAY’s widely-downloaded iPhone and iPad apps.
• I shifted to the tech industry when I started working for Twitter. Here, I help build a product I love.
• I actively explore my interests in photography, storytelling, craft beer, biking, and am always eager to learn more.

In response to the most exceptional letters, I’ll propose further correspondence—and in certain cases, an ongoing mentoring relationship.
